a day off

No, really, a whole day off. Woke late, on knees praying gratefully about sleeping thru the night and being alive in the morning. Asking yet again for GOd's Will for the day instead of my own. Had breakfast, watched a bit about Ike--yikes--I don't even belong to an organization anymore that will send me to help. Will have to rememdy that and get the training Red Cross keeps asking me to get so I can help. Thats when this blog actually started is when I went to LA to help after Katrina.

Almost 10 and still haven't showered. Oh my this is one late and lazy and maybe well deserved resting day. I am not as sore as I thought I might be. Maybe I can get a massage today? Want to make cards today. Not open boxes or do any w o r k. Just have a creative kind of day. And it could be stretched as productive since I've run out of cards to send.

I've got a nice bunch of sponsees again. Just gave one directions for 1,2,3. She's ready. Her son just admitted himself to hospital---read that she kept out of it this time! The buddy he was doing drugs with od'd and died this week. Oh God Y really struggled with wanting to fix her son somehow when she discovered Barney died. What joy for me to be of service to her and really have something valuable to give. I mentioned to her how it must be hard talking to me since she knows my son did die from this disease but she replied that I have survived and have good program and she does want to talk to me.

Maybe its time to not be so slothful. Shower and maybe shower my DM with some attention since he did not blow up about my little accident yesterday.
