if I had

a Whole Foods I wouldn't be at Walmart
Oh how I long for a Wegmn's, A farmers market and a Whole Foods
but what I have is a Walmart.
I have a sister in law who would not listen to me whine aboout not having a bookstore as long as we had a oh gosh I don't even remember the name of it anymore but now even that is gone from our town. But I stop whining and wishing I were somewhere else. I really do try to live in the moment right where I am doing what is right in front of me. I try.
and I won't envy you for your Whole Foods or Wegmans either...

Oh my...no bookstore?? Bless your heart. I'm sorry you have to grocery shop at WalMart! My son used to work at Whole Foods and he just loved it. They are so pricey..but the egss are fabulous. I think it is fine to "educate" the cashier..in a gentle way, she would probably just roll her eyes behind your back though :)

It's okay Christine. Didn't realize that Walmart was the only game in town. A sad state of affairs.

Looks like you'll have to put in a big garden and tend it, harvest it and can or freeze the lot. Bet you no one in your neighborhood would blink an eye at a hen houe if you offered them your extras. Come on, you can do it-this city slicker from NY did and so can you. Chickens in the backyard are the answer... and internet shopping. Also, check out paperback book swap, it's a cool way to swap...glad to know that you are growing roots. PS start your winter indoor herbs now.
