Just saw the date. It is my Dad's birthday today.
He died at age 60 from the disease. He never called himself an alcoholic.
Anyone looking in at our family of untreated Alanons would have been able to tell.
You know I never blamed him really---from age 10 I knew he couldn't help it.
Happy birthday Daddy.

I'm glad that you never blamed him. It took me a while to forgive my father.
