to focus on a Monday
So I finally went and picked up the pain meds yesterday. I thanked the druggist for being there on a Sunday. I'm so old I remember when NOTHING was open on a Sunday. But see--I digress easily. I went and got the medicine because We went square dancing on Saturday night. I thought I'd be careful and so would Harold casue he sure knows about my shoulder (the poor man has put up with my whining) and I wanted to dance, wanted to have fun. Had fun. Until Harold fell backwards just about ripping my arm off, yup, the left one and I just about went to the floor. Used some ice. Didn't hurt all that much UNTIL I got up Sunday morning. Sat thru church--was almost late and no makeup--I was a wreck. Got the medicine but didn't take any til after my Sunday nite meeting. Its been a long time since I took medicine this strong and was afraid to drive using it yet.
It was a rough nite even with the med. But today is better and I'll go to PT in a bit. They do their voodooo hooo dooo and it sure do feel better afterwards. Frozen shoulder but don't know why it got frozen. But theres no tear so guess what we have to do? You got it---tear it! Tear the adhesions not the tendon. Repeat after me, I hate getting old I hate getting old.
I will not, I refuse to go into self pity that oh dear I'll never be able to square or contra dance ever again. But I will wait until I'm more healed. They said three months I should be good. The Whirl in southern WV is in May, I'll hope for that one.
Are nested nicely in the new townhouse, its really small, all new and lovely. I've had to let go of some things but they are things and someone else will get use of them. Have you checked out www.freecycle.org yet? Its all over the country and its a great way to recycle goods. I go t a brand new recumbent exercise bike that way. Got rid of moving boxes, extra rag rugs and some lamps. Met some real nice people too. And we have phone service now!
This weather lately has seen me sitting on the deck and watching some real pretty sunsets. Sunny doesn't get outside much cause its awful muddy but she seems to have adjusted fairmly well.
Life is good and now even better since I can move my arm and feel no pain. Just for today.

Sunny? I think I'm happy to hear that you kept her. Even though I KNOW you're not a pet person, I think she's filling a little niche in your heart that you don't want to admit you have ;-)
I'm so sorry about your shoulder, that's certainly not much fun...I know Glenn is starting to battle with his shoulder.
Going to LV in 2 weeks...weekend of the 11th. I sure need an Allentown fix!!! Haven't been down since October.
We'll be going to the State Theater with Fred Donnatelli & family to see The Fab Faux a Beatles copy band. Should be much fun! There's a whole bunch of us going.
Love ya lots & lots
