whatta week--

Its Sunday. I'm in Allentown.

It started last week--I surrendered some of my Alanon years, Its a long story and I'm too tired to tell it now. Nut my will, my way kept me fighting doing what is good for me--such as takng good directions and suggestions from those with more time, more wisdom thatn me. I'll tell ya, what a relief. I thought I might die but I haven't just more right sized. No more bigshot. Just simple member.

Got certified as an outreach crisis counselor for FEMA if there happens to be a disaster where they can use me--I can be useful in the field. I have many God given gifts. I see then as given today, not earned.

I got to be Gram alive and in person today for a while. Gosh its just so fun to play with a child and be free and just play. And see Nik, I love him so.

Came to Allentown for my baby party. Thats the gals I sponsor and they sponsor and so on. We had fellowship making dinner together, doing a craft (rocks with character assets on one side and defects on the other--stumbling rocks and stepping stones--fun--revealing--and we had a meetinng with the topic Aug 18th in God Calling--difference in rebellious child anbd joyful child and which one I've been for 19 years. Well, you can guess.

Tonight I attended a birthday meeting and gave one of my gals her cake. Low and behold they aren't leaving me because I'm not perfect or a bigshot. They are loving me, lifting me up and geez some have been carrying me since Lonny died anyway. If they leave its their stuff, its not about me anyway-- its a wonder to do theis party year after year and see who sticks, this is not an easy way path--its tough work, its changing and doing the deal, a new design for living...

I'm tired and Leslie should be home soon. Its been a week, whatta week its been. Reminds me of that some--what a long strange trip its been... you probably know who wrote or sang it but I've got the tune in my head--

What a long strange trip its been, sing it with me what a long strange trip its been
good night

Uhhh...that would be Gerry Garcia himself on that long strange trip.
Musta been something in the east coast air.
I made a spontaneous trip to Phila Saturday morning. Peg's Dad is/was in U of P hosp with large inoperable mass on the pancreas. Not a good prognosis. She asked me Friday nite to come and be with her, so I did. It was a long hard 24 hours. Left Phila with her following me on Sunday morning up to A'town and did the daughterly duty of having lunch with my mom who was visiting from Fla. and sis, then Peg went back to phila and I drove home in the downpouring rain, 7 hrs...LLLOOONNNGGGG drive! Dad being discharged today to go home for however long left. :-( say a prayer that he just remain comfortable, ok?
Back to a'town next weekend, then camping, then NH...and all I want to do is sleep.
Love ya.
