terrific tuesday

today was a day of nature and big big birds-- this morning I saw 2 pileated woodpeckers on the wood pile http://www.rondayphotography.com/Pileated%20Woodpecker.htm
They were huge

tonite I rode on the rail trail she says proudly I did 7 miles bu a know its not as much fun when theres no one to whine to. So anyway I saw a heron again but it was the big ass rooster with 2 big ass hens that got my legs apumpin' cause I was sure it would be attack birds. I got by them unharmed.

I did see some bunnies and a bright yellow goldfinch.

I am most grateful tonite for woods and tissues-- going after dinner means I have to pee out doors.

KC & Glenny--bring your bikes down! Oh, you can't you're flying in--

Man O man you should have seen the river and all the thick foliage tonite. Soon it will peak reds and yellows then drop off to brown, brown and gray everywhere. I guess there's always a price to pay for beauty. Lonny loved the outdors. I sure do too and I remembered how I love to dusk part of the day at Trexler Park-- I spent many hours there walking, running, crying, screaming at my God about Lonny's addiction. I digress--

Its pretty here right now. Peak season we will have our 5th anniversary party at Valley Falls State Park where we married. 5 years. wow. http://www.valleyfallsstatepark.com/ It rained the day before the wedding and it rained the day after but our wedding day was just beautiful 80 degrees with reds, golds, yellows, greens--just awesome. Heres another story for ya. I got diagnosed with mono 2 weeks before the wedding and of course the good alanon I was at the time I was doing most all of the wedding myself--all the food-- didn't happen that way tho--
It was a great day even if I was exhausted. We didn't have cake cause the darling man loves ice cream more so we had make your own sundaes. It was fun-- All the kids were in the wedding ceremony--we became a family that day. Well that was my wish and hope and we did become some sort of family. Again, what a long strange trip its been...

Reid would have LOVED to see those Woody Woodpeckers! We have one here and when you lay on the hammock out back you can see it sometimes. He is usually up pretty high though because our trees are gihugic!
