Saturday's silliness
We are both having some buyers remorse so I'm trying to stay light and bright.
House has much charm and much to do.
So, off to do what can do.
In the middle of the day I'm going to the 28 day family day with E to introduce Alanon to the family members of those staying in the rehab. And tonite we will be playing cards or dominos with friends who live on the trail.
DM is extremely anxious about money and overwhelmed by how much there is to do. He does not have a God or faith in the Universe or anything. I'm so grateful I do. Even so, I am often amazed at the wonders and grace in which things fall into place for me, for us. Just gotta keep gettin' on my knees.
Enjoy your today. Now, if I can just stay in mine...

Hi darlin'. I'm glad about the new house..yahoooo.
I wanted to answer your question about the 3/4 house.
1/2 way house...people go to after treatment sometimes for 3 months to a year. Structured living, mandatory meetings, rules, chores etc. Sober people to live with in recovery also.
3/4 house...is people in recovery, but nothing is mandatory except no drinking or using (even outside the house).
helloooo havent stopped by for ages
lots a love

And insurance pays for half way houses whereas it does not pay for recovery houses. Also, it is more difficult to get into a half way houses.
It was very helpful to me and my mother when Alanon came to the inpatient rehab facility where my son was staying. They actually had two speakers, someone around my age and an elderly woman. I remember one of them said please try to go for 6 meetings before you decide if it is right for you. I have to agree. The more meetings I go to, the more I want to keep going back. You'll touch people more than you know.
What a wonderful thing it is to bring hope to people in despair.
A new house is exciting and daunting at the same time. It is a lot of responsibility.
