sweet Saturday

Ahhh A day off. Finally.

I have been cleaning and painting the next house. I have been working a job I love and actually working, not just putting in time. I have been going to my 3 meetings a week. 2 Alanon and 1 open AA. I have been the coffehost for church this month and helping a bit with campus ministry.

Somehow it has all been happening calmly. Not that I've not been stressed to the max a few moments. But for the most part I've been remaining calm. Is this what happens in old age or have I really reached some level of serenity I've not experienced beofre?

Life is good. Raining but good.

The townhouse hasn't sold. ONly one couple even looked at it. Probably pulling it off the market and going with our original plan of renting it. I try real hard not to be funny about money these days but like everyone else I'm looking at $4 for a gallon of gas, milk, carton of eggs, etc. The economy was tough here before now its downright scarey.

I love love love the feel of this next house. Charming and cozy and comfy. Damn we might have gotten it right finally. I am still spending way more time on locating oven racks thatn I'd like to.

This morn I'll do laundry. Go do my committed institution now called introductory meeting this afternoon. Buy some food and paint the rest of the day away into the night.

I really miss checking in on my blog friends. I trust all is well and if its not--let me know!

Enjoy your today.

The economy is getting to me too and normally I don't pay much attention. I told my husband it is cheaper to eat at McDonald's than make your own food at home. Not healthier of course, but definitely cheaper. It didn't used to be that way.

I think Sears will order oven racks for you.

I think that there are hard times coming unless we do something about our dependence on oil. I'm hoping that the next administration will understand more about what the people want, rather than big business.
