upset on a Thursday
I went to an endocrinologist this morning. My Dr in Morgantown all of a sudden closed her practice so I had to go and find another Dr. I found a family Dr and she referred me to an endocrinologist for the thyroid stuff. This Dr told me my last Dr misdagnosed me and gave me meds I don't need to take. I've been taking all this stuff that I didn't need to take and not really getting past the chronic fatigue anyway. I just cried. He was sorry to make me cry. He said to stop taaking the meds and come see him in a month. He believes I have chronic fatigue and he knows alot about chronic fatigue and will try to help me but my last Dr shouldn't have told me or treated me for something I don't have.
I'm done crying. I am doing what I can to believe that I'm not crazy. I might be. Oops, maybe I'm not done crying. Good news is I will save alot of $ on meds and supplements that I don't need. Damn that I spent the last 3 years listening to a woman who didn't treat me properly.
Walking on.

My darling sis,
I know how hard it is to find a doctor, and how hard it is to change. Especially when you've put your trust in someome, really, your life. Don't allow a bad experience make you cry. You know you're stronger than that. What your doctor is doing is RIGHT. Sending you to an endocrinologist is a great thing. You will have someone who's whole practice is tuned into that little gland in your throat. So don't throw away your meds until you see the specialist. I think your new doc sounds like he knows when to send you to a specialist. I respect a doc who knows the limit of his/her knowlege.
Don't forget to ask about Fibromyalgia. It is a real disease. Believe me, I know!!! Since this runs in the family, you could be suffering from that. It acts like chronic fatigue. You should ask to see a rheumatologist,(arthritis doctor) to help rule it out.
I've put more pic's on the Fotki site, so go when you have time.
Love to you and keep on with one day at a time.
Love you lots
Looks like the right door is opening. The specialist should nail it and get you going in the right direction.
Love you lots & lots
