camping out at home

Snow!
So we have red, orange, yellow and green leafed trees covered in heavy white stuff---SNOW!
We are without power or heat but we do have gas logs in the fireplace and a gas hot water heater. We've heard it could be Saturday before we get power back. Ugh.
Can't get laundy done, losing everything in the frig and freezer and oh the phone! Can't get voice mail. Came to work early to be warm and have some light. At least we can do that. It really reminds me of what some have had to contend with during the recent disasters.
Trying to make it a cozy adventure. We have oil lamps and early to bed.
Hope to return to the modern world soon.
