tip toe thru tulips on tuesday
I don't know what the title means or where it came from. Lord knows why or how you all put up with me some days.
Yesterday was a work at home day without TV or internet. One would believe it would be easier to find my mind bent toward work, wouldn't one. But no not me! I read a meditation in my God Calling book about resting and doing things slowly and somehow for some reason took that message to heart. As the day went on it became easier and easier to relax into anything but work. I did put in a few hours but nothing like I figured on.
What did I do with a day? Moved some more pieces of furniture---NWC I did not berate myself but sometimes yes it does help to have a little rearranging. But Lexy, yup I saw it for what it was, more avoiding what's really going on. Hey girls--I just realized how important you have become in my West Virginia world. Thank you for for for being here with me.
So, went for a walk--down the hill was easy it was the heart pounding up the hill I thought I might die what was I thinking anyway?--then oh gosh its time for lunch and being able to brush my teeth and wait a minute how'd it get to be 2:30 so soon...
Time to deck sit in the almost sunny day and read and read and read and so I did work anyway. I didn't do laundry or play with plants, hey KC how's your garden growing? Gots some to share for yet another yard? I may stay here for longer than a year well, maybe not since he discovered a house on the rail trail but its under contract so not available thank heavens.
So what am I doin'? Anything but work but the database is here on this here puter and I'm gonna go and oh find something else to do but work. Ahhh, and so it goes...

It sounds like you had a perfectly lovely day. Sometimes we can't get into work because life is more pressing and most times work can wait when life cannot.
That saying...tiptoe through the tulips..it always makes me want to dance...that's a good thing right?
How do you work without an internet??? LOL : ) Tip toeing thru the tulips sounds like a fun day to me!! Go with it. I read that same mediation about going slowly from one activity to another, stopping to pray in between and it has stuck with me since. I'm not rushing so much and life more peaceful. I like it. and it sounds like YOU had a wonderful day doing things for you! That's always good! We don't take care of ourselves often enough!
and you would have heard about the new sweetie before, but he snuck up on me! one of those guys that you've known for a while and they are in the same social circles, but no zing.... and then it changes!! : ) Its a good thing. Stay tuned for more!

:-) You're so silly! and it's good to see you playful again...I remember that from many moons ago.
Working from home is a whole new mindset. It takes a bit of (ahem) self disipline (ahem). I find it incredibly easy to work from home, I just don't have the opportunity to do it enough. I find that I'm more focused and more productive when I'm working from home, especially during the winter.
