calm

Today's reading in God Calling talks about calm. This last weekend I got comments on my voice and how calm I am. And what a blessing that today I am calm inside as well and don't just sound like it.

Todays world here in my little part of WV is calm and peaceful. I am hearing the coo of the mourning dove and chatter of other birds. It is sunshiney and warm and very green. I am blessed to work from home and not an office that makes me crazy from perfume allergies or others annoying habits--not that I don't have my own ,mind you.

I have no need to rush most days here at home. Work then break then work then break I sure have it good if not easy. Tonite we are hoping to have date nite on our bikes on the rail trail. Tomorrow I'm on the road again for a lunch meeting. But I sure did need and I do appreciate this slow calm time all this week. It looks like this cold may actually be almost at an end and I appreciate not suffering this morning.

I hope in June I can remember this time. June will be a big traveling month again. But thats later. Today I appreciate and am grateful to have today to enjoy.

"Just for today I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision."

Awesome.....I have switched jobs too and it has brought much calm to me. I no longer feel so rushed myself and it is a good feeling.

Yeah, it is a good day to be clean and sober.

I love that "hearing the birds" kind of calm. I'm happy that you have this break in your schedule to not only enjoy it, but get some renewal as well.
