Monday's tales

Slept with a two year old between us last night. Between her presence and these incredible hot flashings I didn't get much rest. I won't complain. I'm not nearly as tired as I think I should be.

Last night's topic was sponsorship. What a wonder to have most of the group has a sponsor instead of the other way around. Awesome! No one in my whole life as loved me as unconditionally as my sponsor. I tried evry trick and test in the book to get her to go away or to not love me--I am so blessed. and blessed with some sponsees so I can continue to learn about me.

Its not a secret, I was at a something, fact finding, info gathering something about the possible western urban to rural migration from DC area into WV. Very scarey how terribly unprepared our state would be if even some of the 5 or 10 thousand folk found themselves on our highways getting off exits to nowhere, nothing---no hotels, no sanitary facilites I'm sorry I seem to always be on the same soapbox.

I do have an interview tomorrow afternoon. I'll give you a hint---its not in emergency management... I don't know what I want to happen. I love what I do, but I don't seem to be detaching well lately.

Going to an AlAnon meeting tonite to make up my last Thurs noon meeting. Maybe I can pass on a hopeful message there.

I would be WAY too good at emergency scenario development! I sometimes tell people I have "PRE-traumatic stress disorder" because my brain can think up the worst outcome for any situation. I have to pray a lot and do some cognitive stuff to keep from being nuts all the time!

And I apologize for not yet doing the thing you tagged me to do. Soon. Thanks for tagging me and sorry to seem like I am blowing you off, it has just been a wild week.

I think it is great that you are even open to looking at something else. Change is so scary, and you are just looking it right in the eye. That's a BIG deal.
