increasing the joy
from Victoria Moran in magazine Body & Soul:
Increase Your Joy
Build your joyful foundation by
knowing that your life matters.
You have important work to do.
When you notice a joyful feeling,
acknowledge and be grateful for it.
Expand your ability to experience joy
by letting other people's trimuphs fill
you up as if they were your own.
Never become too sophisticated to experience simple
joys or too busy to spread the joy around.
From God Calling:
Turn out all thoughts of doubt and of trouble. Never tolerate them for one second. Bar the windows anddoors of your souls against them as you wouold bar your home against a thief who would steal in to take your treasures.
The sun is shining in and outside my soul today. I get such gifts when I am open to receive them. Earlier this week (on a ten mile bike ride wwhhooooeeee I did it!!) I noticed how much clearer and sharper life is since coming out of the grief's depression. Nature more beautiful. Life without its sharp edges yet without the dullness that veiled my senses---just life on lifes terms instead of whatever it is I try to live most all of the time. Its so hard to stay out of denial, avoidance, withdrawal and isolation but those cause me as much gut wrenching tears as allowing myself to ride the storm of grief and the very real pain of loss. I have to allow this so I can once again feel "the thrill of fresh life" return. I had such doubts that I could ever again feel joy rather than the shadows of sorrow. I am beginning to understand maybe that without allowing the sorrows and shadows there can be no joy or happiness in today or tomorrow. "All is well" I don't know how or why it is or will be but I have to hang onto "All is well" and then it shall be so in my soul.
Enjoy your today.
Oh,that young woman asked me to sponsor her this morning---how very wonderful to be able to be of service to her and share my experience strength and hope with her and give her whats been given to me. I couldn't save my family or my children and I know I can't save her or hers but it is such a valuable way to be of service that helps me more than I can ever help her. Caring for her children at the meeting the other night so she could be in the meeting, I saw answer to prayers to have more children in my life. A 4 yr old and 18 mo old--both girls. What joy!

Yay for sunshine..the kind inside and out.
Happy Mother's day (sent you a belated email).
There are so many types of mommies -- nurturing from the heart mommies to God's children are one of my most fondest. ;) I don't have children (yet, not ready and it will be on God's time) but I am a mommy to 4 cats and a dog. I know they don't give me the challenge of loving a baby but they sure keep us on our toes!
This is a really soul enhancing post. You really deserve to have your soul showered with joy. I see that God is leading you into the path of some of his other children in need of love and comfort.
