Monday's Muck
Self-pity is like a swamp, the longer we stand in the muck, the more we stink.
--from Rex's blog
grief, self pity, reacting, pain, self pity, grief, inflicting pain on others, grief,
muckity muck----sticking to high heaven
wanting to run from what God might want from me. wanting to hide from others in embarrassment and remorse.
Only way I know how to pull out of the muck and swamp of this disease is to do what is in front of me. I'm at the office. I'm out of bed, dressed, hair done, makeup, lunch fixed, prayers prayed, literature and meditation time completed and talked to a newcomer. Its the best I can do today so far. Its bound to get better if I keep one foot in front of the other and keep asking for help. I don't have to drown in the muck--I know I don't have to drown.
