Smooth Sunday

The day is arranged today by usual church and meeting commitments with a little cerv work thrown in the middle of the day.

We had baby Lily Friday nite thru most of yesterday. A pleasant surprise. She'll be 1 next month. She's such a calm and quiet child.

DM is doing really well at the new day spa. He's made enuff to cover his student loans and the room rent already. And I like that he's applying more pressure when he gives a massage--got one last nite.

I'm a bit nervous about theupcoming WV Conference --Alanon-- I'm chair and some rumblings have begun already. I requested skirts at the podium for those I asked to chair the big meetings, reading Steps and Traditions, and Alateen moment. I'm well aware people will do as they please but I made the request. At least Iknow I don't have to defend or justify today. But I am willing to listen to what she has to say-- if we can ever get to talk instead of phone messages and emails. I'm also so happy that I'll never have to be chair of this again--it was a great learning experience but I can let someone else have the learnings the next time around. Bt I am honored I suppose that I was asked to do it-- Next Sunday it will be done. Workshops and speakers will be over and those attending will hear what they are ready to hear and see what they are ready to see and hopefully we will have no major crises and God gets in there for us all.

And I'm excited that we are getting our kids to the beach with us Labor Day weekend--Ahh so many memories of Bethany Beach with my boys and Dot. I found something nice and is reasonable.

Onto today.

ok...I HAVE to comment on this one...SKIRTS?????? wow, I never thought you'd ever be that restrictive or conforming to what "professional attire" would be for a woman. ;-)
I, for one, would never ever, never...did I say never??...wear a skirt to ANYTHING because of the way my legs look with all the ick on them. I always wear pants suits for everything. *and yes, I've seen a doc about it and no one knows quite what to make of it...the lesions are typical of presence of diabetes, but there is no diabetes...I'm tested on a regualar basis. Doc says there's nothing that can be done for them, they will never go away, so skirts are never an option for me, unless....they are 'bare foot maiden in the meadow' skirts, and those are so not 'professional'*...lolol
Love ya sweetie...and so glad you're getting to the beach this year. I know how you love it there!
Hugs

I have missed so many of your posts I had to go make another cup of tea ;)

A one year old is the ultimate best way to keep me in the now. I love them.

That sounds like a lot of work. I understand how you would want another to have a chance at it ;)
